South Gloucestershire Race Equality Network AGM January 2019.

After the successful launch in 2017/18 of the SGS College Discover Course, a FREE course for the over 50’s, the Adult Community Learning Team at SGS College has finalised dates for Discover 2019.
This course is held over various weekends to give people over 50 the opportunity to take either an English or mathematics short course completely free of charge and may be of interest to local residents.  Those residents who would benefit from a weekend of learning, meeting new people and seeing different places all free of charge.

On the Saturday we are based at the SGS WISE Campus in Stoke Gifford, Bristol where we have a day of learning.  Our experienced Tutors and Team Leaders are on hand to guide and help learners and enable them to take an Entry 3 level exam at the end of the day.  Refreshments throughout the day and  a two course lunch are all included on the Saturday.

The Sunday is exclusively for the learners to enjoy one of the many excursions included on the course.  They will be transported from the WISE Campus to a different part of the region or beyond and  experience a fantastic day trip.  Whether they are interested in history, horticulture or even sailing, we have a course for everyone.

Learners can enrol on one English and one maths weekend if they haven’t taken an E3 qualification before.
