Spring Newsletter

Southern Brooks Is looking for people living in the Kingswood area who might be interested in working with them and 91ways to help organise an event which brings different people together around food.

They have their first meeting for this on August 2nd and it would be great if members of the Forum would like to be involved.

Warm and Well

Free advice and home energy visits, and grants for heating, replacement boilers and insulation. 

If you are:

·         Are cold at home

·         Have a broken boiler

·         Have heating problems

·         Have a lack of wall or loft insulation

·         Are worried about paying their fuel bills

·         Would like help switching energy supplier or tariff

·         Are on a low income

·         Have a physical or mental health issue that will be made worse from being cold?

You may be eligible for

·         A free home energy visit

·         Insulation, heating and boiler replacement grants

·         Help with reducing your fuel bills and switching energy supplier/tariff

Please contact Warm and Well on 0800 500 3076 on their behalf or give them our number to receive free energy efficiency advice.

Friendly energy advisors are available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and they will assess if your clients are eligible for any grants to help you stay warmer and healthier at home.


South Gloucestershire Council Older People’s Advisory Group

The Older People’s Programme Group want to involve Older People in decisions which affect their lives ensuring they have voice.  To do this we will investigate creating an Older Peoples Advisory Group who meet regularly on a voluntary basis to comment on existing services, the development of new services, listen to the needs of older people, represent the views of older people and take up issues on behalf of older people.  To find our more contact:
